Swimming is one of the most popular activities. Most of the time, you swim in pools, beaches or rivers, but imagine how amazing it would be to swim in a place that combines all the best things these different spots have to offer. You may wonder what it would be like to swim in a place that is the combination of a swimming pool, waterfall, diving board, scuba diving spot, river and underwater caverns but without any of the dangers usually associated with these locations. It wouldn't be cheap, but one family made it a reality in their backyard. Dubbed "The Mountain", this pool is built into a huge 90-foot man-made mountain, which also serves as the backdrop for the several waterfalls constructed to look like they are a part of their natural surroundings of high mountains and pine trees. The tallest waterfall also serves as the diving board, which several people can dive off of at once. It sits at an impressive 20-feet above the surface of the pool below. Leaving out nothing, there are also two bridge pathways that take you to the tallest waterfall and a tunnel that takes you to a 60-foot long water slide built inside of the mountain. In addition to the pool, which is equal to the length of four school buses and 60-feet wide, there is also a river that stretches for 300 feet. Jets keep the water moving along this river, so all you have to do is laze around in your floatie. This man-made paradise is just as breathtakingly beautiful as it is fun. Built inside of The Mountain is a little cave pool thoughtfully positioned behind a waterfall so you can relax while enjoying the view from this delightful little nook. Don't worry though because the entire structure is lighted so you can make your way around the inside of this amazing oasis with ease. What Else is Inside of The Mountain? A Kitchen Also hidden inside is a fully functional kitchen with a huge 8-burner grill, a double sink, mini refrigerator, granite counter tops and stainless steel cabinets. Bathroom and Changing Room The changing room is more than comfortable with full size lockers, a toilet and a shower with a massive shower head. A Scuba Diving Spot This wasn't all built with only water play in mind. It also serves as practicing and training grounds for the owners who are avid scuba divers. From a secret area inside of The Mountain, you can access a 54-foot wide and five-foot long tunnel. While inside, you can swim to a depth of 26 feet. This is one way to get from the caves into the pool. You actually have to be a certified scuba diver to be allowed in here. Why You Should Get This Pool There are several benefits of swimming. It is a non-stressful way to increase your heart rate thus building up your endurance. It tones and builds your muscles making you stronger, burns fat and keeps you in shape. Swimming is also one of the best exercises for those recovering from an injury or weak from an illness. Outside of the water, those who swim sleep better and have lower stress levels. These benefits apply to children too, and swimming is a great way to socialize. While it takes hundreds of thousands of gallons of water to keep the water levels up, miles of piping and an intricate computer system, if you're thinking of inground pool financing, this fun and amazing water-world can be yours for a cool two million bucks. Forget about the most technologically advanced appliances, new-age art and fancy cars, this is how you can have a house that's the talk of the town while providing a beneficial activity for your family and friends.
